About this policy

Nottingham Garage Conversions runs this website and is responsible for the personal data it receives, which we handle under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any question about your data can go to enquiries@nottinghamgarageconversions.co.uk or to 07497 659212.

Information the form collects

The survey form asks for your name, a phone number and your postcode. You can also add an email address, pick a garage type and the room you have in mind, and type a message. When you ring or email us instead, we make a note of the details you give.

What we use it for

Your details are used to reply to you, book the survey, draw up plans and a price and, should you decide to go ahead, plan and run the conversion. Before any agreement, our lawful basis is acting on your request ahead of a contract; once you instruct us, it is carrying out that contract.

Sharing your information

Your details are never sold, and they are never passed on for anyone else's marketing. They go only to those handling your enquiry and, for a project that goes ahead, to those who need them to deliver it, for example the Building Control body inspecting the work. The company hosting this website and our email provider hold data for us under their own security measures.

Retention

When an enquiry does not lead to any work, we delete it within 12 months. When we carry out a project, we keep its records for six years after it is finished, to meet tax, accounting and legal duties and to answer later questions about the work.

Your rights

UK GDPR lets you see the information we keep on you, have mistakes fixed, have it deleted, limit what we do with it, or say no to a particular use. Email enquiries@nottinghamgarageconversions.co.uk with your request; the law gives us one month to answer.

Complaints

Unhappy with how your details were handled? Let us know and we will try to sort it out. The Information Commissioner's Office, which oversees data protection in the UK, also takes complaints: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
